February 8, 2015 - Senator Hutchinson presented a citation to Daniel Pierson at the Sheffield Methodist Church for achieving the rank of Eagle Scout. For his Eagle Scout community service project, Daniel updated entrance signs in Sheffield and cleared debris from the grounds of the signs. March 15, 2015 – Senator Hutchinson presented a citation to John Cooper of Rouseville, Venango County recognizing his achievement of the rank of Eagle Scout. April 19, 2015 - - Senator Hutchinson presented a citation to Trevor Phelps of Clarendon, Warren County recognizing his outstanding achievement of the rank of Eagle Scout. For his Eagle Scout project, Trevor made repairs to the drainage system at the Wesleyan Church in Warren, PA. Trevor is the son of David and Donna Phelps and is a member of Boy Scout Troop 13.

November 17, 2015 – Senator Hutchinson met with members of the AMVET Post 113 from Tionesta, PA. They were visiting the capitol in support of House Bill 1579 which names a bridge over the Allegheny River on State Route 62 the Lt. Col. Michael McLaughlin/AMVETS Post 113 Memorial Bridge. Lt. Col. McLaughlin was killed in Iraq by a suicide bomber on January 5, 2006. He was the first PA Army National Guard officer to be killed in action since World War II.
November 16, 2015 – Senator Hutchinson joined Chuck Coup for a photo with a resolution I introduced earlier this year designating June 5th, 2015, as “PA Sustainable Forestry Initiative Day” in Pennsylvania. For Stephen’s Eagle Scout project he built gardening carts that contained pots and tools that would be used by rehabilitation patients at Vincentian de Marillac and Marion Manor, two local skilled nursing facilities. For Ryan’s Eagle Scout project he built an instrument cupboard and shelf system for storage of band instruments at Our Lady of Sacred Heart High School.
