Senator Hutchinson’s Statement on Senate Passage of FY 19-20 Budget

“I am pleased we were able to put together a responsible and prudent spending plan which holds the line on taxes. Additionally, for the first time in a long time, we were able to set aside a substantial amount in the Rainy Day Fund for the inevitable time when the economy turns down. This budget spends less than the Governor proposed while transferring at least $250 million to the Rainy Day fund.”
